9th August 2008 Windsurfing: Felixstowe-Dip Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: 16-20 Surf / Sea State: good Air Temperature: 19 Sea Temperature: 18 Weather: sun, cloud, rain Max Speed: Distance Covered: Got down about 11 and rigged 6m which was well powered and great to blast in and out on; the sea was absent the usual chop with some ramps if you like jumping. The wind slowly increased so I rigged 5.2 on a smaller board and sailed until a little after 2pm, with the sea state staying quite good for teh wind strength, but getting choppy near the river flow. It was great blasting in and out, with some cracking gybes off the waves on the sandbanks out to sea. About 10 windusrfers and five kiters out. Mid-afternoon the rain came and the wind went a little offshore at the dip so I packed in to go home. |
